Community Action for Rural Development (CARD)

CARD (Community Action for Rural Development ) is a NGO working in the field of rural development in Pudukkottai, Ramanathapuram, Madurai, Trichy and Karur Districts of Tamil Nadu for the last 38 years. CARD is a Society registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act 27 of 1975 on 14^th December 1982. CARD is also registered with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act(FCRA) CARD is managed by an Executive Committee of nine members and a General Body of 13 members. CARD's headquarters is situated at Samathuvapuram, Pulivalam Post, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District, Tamil Nadu, India.

Provision of Educational needs of the poor students particularly for the girls.
Promoting the health condition of drug and alcohol addicts and senior citizens.
Providing skill training and income generation opportunities for rural poor boys, girls and women.
Undertaking housing, water, sanitation and hygiene promotion programmes.
Preservation and conservation of environment to mitigate global warming.
Providing shelter for women & children and prevent them from domestic violence
