Imagine a woman, her hands on the steering wheel, driving confidently. She is not just driving the car, but steering her destiny. In a world where patriarchal norms still whisper, “Your place is in the kitchen,” she chooses the driver’s seat. Where society draws lines in sand and stone, telling her how far she can go, she answers with the roar of an engine. This isn’t just about mobility—it’s about reclaiming what was always hers: the right to move, to dream, to reach. For many women, driving is not a luxury; it’s a lifeline. It’s the bridge to education, healthcare, employment, and a life of her own choosing. Through this course, multiple career options will open up for these women, such as driving taxis, shuttles, or delivery vehicles. Other possibilities include becoming a chauffeur, school bus driver, or even a truck driver. For those with a passion for driving, roles like driving instructor or professional race car driver are also within reach.
Too many are still waiting at the crossroads—held back by outdated beliefs, silenced by invisible barriers. But with every woman who learns to drive, another boundary breaks. A new path opens—not just for her, but for generations to come.
BOSCO, in collaboration with INDIAdonates, is working tirelessly to support women in claiming their identity—not just as drivers, but as the lead actors in their own lives. This transformative initiative will train 25 young women (18–35 years) from marginalised, low-income urban slums and rural areas, facing limited education and employment opportunities. These women will become professional drivers through a three-month course in Bangalore. Participants will be equipped for careers in logistics, public transport, valet services, and private driving roles—receiving industry-recognised certifications and personalised support from enrolment to securing a valid driver’s license.
These women will receive:
This program is more than a training course; it is a step toward freedom, dignity, and equal opportunity. With your support, these women can break barriers, build sustainable careers, and prove that they belong on any road they choose to take.
Let’s drive India forward — with women in the driver’s seat.
