HAI is a not for profit organization under the Indian Trusts Act, founded by a team of humanitarian and development professionals with a collective global experience of over 300 years. The organizational purpose is to establish a global aid institution founded and headquartered in India to extend effective and efficient humanitarian assistance and invest in sustainable and resilient development to eradicate poverty and hunger. HAI aspires to evolve development and humanitarian paradigms based on Indian traditional practices, but informed by western architecture and Indian experience, by galvanizing efforts and resources within and without the country.
An Indian civil society organization of international stature and standing is leading humanitarian assistance and development initiatives that reduces risks of poverty, hunger and violence in the world.
To create a global Indian brand, based on traditional Indian altruism and informed by Western Humanitarian architecture, to synegise the efforts and desire of Indian communities, mobilise resource from within and without including the indian diaspora to ameliorate the effected of poverty and hunger and violence in the least developed and the middle income countries caused by natural, human made and climate induced disasters, thereby contributing to the core commitments of agenda for Humanity. the commitments of Grand Bargain, Sustainable development Goals SDG's, and the targets outlines in the sendai framework.
