Centre for the Sustainable Use of Natural and Social Resources (CSNR) with Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), works for the empowerment of communities to improve their access to natural resources and rights, development of marginalized people, strengthening civil society on human rights and supplementing statutory and public institutions for public welfare and democratic governance to uphold the values and principles of the Constitution of India and the Universal Declaration on Human Rights.
CENTER FOR THE SUSTAINABLE USE OF NATURAL AND SOCIAL RESOURCES (CSNR)
Centre for the Sustainable Use of Natural and Social Resources (CSNR) has been working to strengthen civil societies in the areas concerning sustainable development, which includes livelihood, peace, equity, equality and scope for growth and development for all. CSNR, as an agent of change, is steadily engaged in building capacities of the community leaders, students and development workers, on how to use democratic institutions, mechanisms, norms and forums to redress the grievance of the vulnerable, marginalized and the poorest among the poor. CSNR also facilitates regional and local level dialogues among the policymakers, CSOs, community leaders, students and others on various issues linked to life, livelihood and dignity of people, at risk and deprived due to social or economic reasons.

- Approximately, 55711 under privileged people in Koraput, Keonjhar districts and in Bhubaneswar city of Odisha for Community Empowerment
- Less advantaged populations in Koraput District for improving their Access to Justice.
- Minorities, Dalits, Adivasis, Women, Children and other marginalised people in Odisha are vulnerable to Human Rights Violations and approximately, 500 Human rights defenders, Paralegals and community volunteers for the protection and promotion of Human Rights.
- People of Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal for Accountable and Human Right-based Public Institutions- Police Reforms
