Motherhood is a journey of love and sacrifice, but for many women, it's also a journey filled with challenges and risks. In remote villages of Gumma and R. Udaygiri blocks in Gajapaati district, Orissa, pregnant women face formidable obstacles due to poor connectivity, limited income, and inadequate nutrition.
These women, belonging to marginalized indigenous communities, often lack access to proper healthcare and nutrition, putting them and their babies at risk. Many suffer from anaemia, infections, and other health complications due to unhygienic conditions and limited medical knowledge.
That's why INDIAdonates, in collaboration with our partner NGO Suraksha, is launching a crucial campaign to provide shelter, nutritious meals, and ambulance services to pregnant women in their final 15 days before delivery. With your support, we can ensure these women have a safe and healthy environment, regular medical check-ups, and timely transportation to hospitals when needed.
We aim to establish two shelter homes in Gumma block and R. Udaygiri block, each accommodating 30 women, providing them with the care and support they need during this critical time.
