Summary

CMC charitable Hospital is situated in 6th largest town of Bihar, Purnia. Bihar is still recording more than 4000 cases daily. The hospital holds a capacity of 100 beds and serves a population of 2 million people from Purnia and many nearby remote villages with primary and secondary level facilities. However, since the surge in COVID cases across the state, the team of six doctors, and about twenty nursing staff are finding it hard to support the daily rising cases of COVID.

While the scarcity of oxygen supply across the country is creating apocalyptic situations, the CMC Hospital is in immediate need of a basic infrastructure to accommodate the surging caseloads and to ensure delivery of oxygen to those patients who desperately need it.

To expedite the need of the hospital, INDIAdonates has partnered with CMAI (Christian Medical Association of India) to scale the healthcare requirements of CMC Hospital.

The hospital is currently operating a 20-bed COVID ward with a skeletal structure. They need support in expanding to create a specialised COVID ward ready to confront the soaring number of cases.

Challenge

CMCH has an Isolation Ward with 20 beds.
COVID cases 2 weeks ago= 5 per day

Current COVID cases = 10 per day

CMCH is following up on about 30 patients in home isolation

Timeline - CMC Hospital needs immediate support and expects to acquire all the necessary equipment within 7 days.
